Education aims at making children capable of becoming responsible, productive and useful members of the society. Knowledge, skills and attitudes are built through learning experiences and opportunities created for learners in school. It is in the classroom that learners can analyse and evaluate their experiences, learn to doubt, to question, to investigate and to think independently. The aim of education simultaneously reflects the current needs and aspirations of a society as well as its lasting values and human ideals.

A curriculum is what constitutes a total teaching-learning programme comprising overall aims, syllabus, materials, methods and assessments. Evaluation not only measures the progress and achievement of the learners but also the effectiveness of the teaching materials and methods used for transaction. Hence evaluation should be viewed as a component of curriculum with the twin purpose of effective delivery and further improvement in the teaching-learning process.

The scope of evaluation in schools extends to almost all the areas of learner's personality development. It should include both scholastic and co-scholastic areas i.e., it should be comprehensive in nature. This is in line with the goals of education.

 The school follows Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) as prescribed by the CBSE from Grade I onwards. CCE refers to a system of school based evaluation of a student that covers all aspects of his/her development which emphasizes on two-fold objectives. These objectives are continuity in Evaluation and assessment of broad-based learning and behaviourial outcomes on the other.

The academic year comprises of two terms. Each term includes two Formative Assessments and one Summative Assessment. Formative Assessment is a tool used by the teacher to continuously monitor student progress in a non-threatening, supportive environment. Summative Assessment methods are like the traditional way of paper pencil test, taken by a student at the end of each term.

SYLLABUS

NCERT syllabus is being followed and English is the medium of instruction. Children learn languages including Hindi, Computer Science, Yoga Music, Silambam and Physical education in the kinder garden and primary level.
